Ive been playing in bands for several years now and I thought I’d comment on how band members and girlfriends are very similar. When you first meet your new band member there seems so be a lot of tension like on a first date. Your not sure if there going to work out or if they just be another douche bag. Then if it works out it seems like it will last forever. Then comes the break up. Its always brutal and you never seem be close ever again. Hopefully thats not the case but most likely it will be.
If there is something that always changes, its the process of writing and creating music. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t learn something about the process of creativity. Sometimes it’s better to write music in the morning, sometimes at night, sometimes drunk, sometimes stoned, sometimes away from home and sometimes in your head. The same goes for lyrics. The Process of writing (when your fully committed and trying your hardest to create) is the most stressful and mentally draining process I have ever endured. When in writing mode it is impossible to escape from yourself or anything around you. You must deal with every facet of your life. This can be a depressing thing because as we all know, non of us are perfect. You are forced to deal with every little aspect of your life whether it be love, God, religion, money, stress, procrastination, and most of all your self worth. The creation of music can do violently different things to your self esteem. One day it can make you feel as if your a genius and your on top of the world. The next day it can make you feel as if your a waste of space, that no one cares what you create and everything have created in the past is total bullshit. I have grown to understand this process and know how to deal with it on some level. Regardless its a son of a bitch.
I am very new to this whole blogging thing, so I decided to check out some tags (a word I was previously unaware of) and started combing through the “religion” section. I read through some different blogs about end times and babylon and faith and was very interested. The reason I chose to write this blog is because of something I noticed on the right hand side of the “religion” blogs page. There are some blue tags that descend in size on the right that read like this
Christianity, God, Life, Faith, Politics, Jesus, Bible, Church, Love
From left to right the font gets smaller. Naturally love was not only the last tag but the smallest. I find it funny and typical that this happen to be apart of the religion section of blogs. The order of the the list itself could warrant a series of blogs about why these tags are in this order. Definitely something to think about
